1 .Switch your phone off

When dining with others, keep communication and discussion at the forefront of your mind. Checking your phone frequently can indicate that you are more concerned with your device than with the people around you. Don't be obnoxious!

If you have an urgent call that you cannot miss, politely excuse yourself from the table and take the call to another room.

2.Wait until everyone is served before you eat

Before eating any of your food, be sure that everyone else has been served. Before you eat, take some time to contemplate the feelings of others around you. This rule applies whether you're dining with family, friends, or your significant other.

3.Place the napkin on your lap

The first thing you should do when being seated at a restaurant or at any formal event is to place your napkin on your lap. Remember that after you've placed the napkin on your lap, it should never be placed back on the table.

Place the napkin on your chair till you return if you need to excuse yourself from the table for a time. Place the napkin lightly to the left of your plate before leaving the table once the meal is over.
